

The Shoe sector Collective Agreement was signed by representatives from the workers unions (FIA-UGT and CC.OO.) and those representing the entrepreneurs (FICE and AEC), to establish working and production conditions in a specific industrial area. To ratify the COLLECTIVE STATE AGREEMENT 2010-2010 of the Shoe Sector, the negotiating parties signed their agreement at the AEC Offices on the 29th of february 2010, and then presented it to the Industrial Relations Authorities.

Both entrepreneurs and workers in the sector are bound to comply with the terms and conditions established in the collective agreement, which governs the following issues and matters among others:
Labour issues:
Issues concerning working conditions. Working hours (daily, weekly, and yearly); breaks, permits and holidays; occupational status; duration and type of employment contracts; required performance of employees; working offences and their corresponding penalties; training…
Financial issues:
Issues concerning wages or any other type of payment: amount, wage supplements and benefits, over time and wage reviews…
A Mixed Committee on Interpretation has been set up in order to ensure that the collective agreement is enforced, adapted and can solve any possible incidents that could arise from the misinterpretation of the document and its implementation. The main objective of this Committee is to therefore guarantee that the agreement is implemented and works properly.
